One simple two-device workflow

Build and maintain every box here on iPad; use iPhone only to pair and scan NFC tags.

Checking cloud sync…
1. Create on iPad

Save the box, its contents, destination, and a sticker nickname to Box Inventory.

2. Find it in Box Inventory

Your new box appears below as the first row. Search or filter it, then choose Send to iPhone.

3. Sync, send, and pair

Push cloud changes, send the box to iPhone, then scan the physical tag in Shortcuts.

Full NFC setup instructions
  1. Sign into Cloud Sync with the same email on iPad and iPhone. On iPad, choose Push cloud changes; on iPhone, choose Pull cloud.
  2. Create the box on iPad. It immediately appears as the newest row in Box Inventory below.
  3. Find that row and choose Send to iPhone. AirDrop, Messages, or the iOS share sheet all work.
  4. On iPhone, open the shared box, choose Set up NFC, and follow the Shortcuts prompt: Automation → NFC → scan tag → Open URLs → paste the copied link.
  5. Turn off Ask Before Running. Later, an iPhone tap opens this exact box; keep editing the master record here on iPad.
